@@alanslade2319 it's always worth flicking around even when the bands sound quiet, you never know what's going to pop up.

I don't have a Washington, didn't see the point when it's basically the same as the George II with extra power. I would imagine that the Washington service menu access will be the same or very similar to the George II.

The 8900 is a new radio (in an old case). You can program up to 40 VHF frequencies into the memories. I understand that Radioddity may be bringing out a new radio with this board.

@@robgibbsofficial yes, I was very surprised how well it picked up on 2m. Mind you, I did try a small 2m/70cm magmount later on and that obviously worked much better.

It was receiving using my CB antenna but you could connect a proper VHF antenna instead I guess.

No they are UK frequencies, there just wasn't anyone on at the time.

It can only transmit on AM and FM, it is not possible for it to transmit on USB or LSB.
